I'm starting to realize that there are just some thing's you should never pay full price for. My favorite thing not to pay full price for? Dessert! Not paying full price for dessert make's it that much better! My dessert of choice right now is Pillsbury sweet moments brownie bites! They are to die for! (ok, I will stop yelling now. I just really love dessert.) All the stores around here charge an average of $2.50. I've never payed more than .50 cents. My last bag of them I actually got for free.
You can alway's find good coupon's for the big brand's like sara lee, pillsbury, and marie callender's from the brand's direct website's. You can even get buy one get one free coupon's from DairyQueen.com by signing up for their monthly newsletter! Not to mention they let you know what the blizzard of the month is!
You should never pay full price to get your beauty on either! You can alway's find deal's in the newspaper or by signing up for your fav brand's weekly e-mail. And if you time it just right(which isn't alway's possible) and use a coupon when the item is on sale you can save a bundle!
For all you out there who dye your hair at home(that's so not me, wink!) there is no reason to pay full price. Even if you don't have coupon's, there is alway's a sale on at least one brand at your fav store. Almost every week though there is a coupon for hair dye.
If you go through the cleaning product's like I do then you're in luck! Cleaning product's are one of the most common coupon's. Lysol, Windex and laundry soap are alway's in ad's. You shouldn't have to pay full price for something so boring!
So next time you go to get your dessert, beauty or clean on just remember, a little digging through the newspaper or the internet can save you lot's of dough!

Success!!!
Well I would call today's shopping trip a success! I got $110 worth of groceries for only $70! And found out that when a coupon say's do not double or triple(a lot of the coupons you print out say that) doesn't mean you can't use another coupon(from a different source) along with it. Example: one coupon from a ad in the newspaper and one that you print out online. I've used up to 3 different coupons on 1 item before. I ended up getting it for free! Unfortunatly those kind of deal's don't come around a lot but it is so sweet when they do!
I have found that some name brand item's that are pretty common you can bring in other stores' ad's into your prefered grocery store and ask a employee(usually a manager) if they will match the other stores price. It doesn't alway's work, but it's worth a shot.
If anyone has children that eat "fruit leather", sorry don't know the brand name, that you get in the organic section, is on sale at fred meyer's for 3/$1. My little monkey loves them so it's a good time to stock up!

strategy!
Here's a list of my favorite coupon web sites. It does take some time to sit down and go through all of them and find the good coupon's but that's what I'm trying to do! If you have a printer it can really be handy! Make sure you read the coupons carefully because they try to fool you into thinking you can only use one coupon per purchase. It usually means that exact coupon. The site's are pretty simple. You basicly just give them a little info(nothing too personal), check the one's you want and print. Not too bad, right? If my 4 year can do it then I guess mommy's can too! And yes she really did print out some coupons that I didn't know about, but that's a different story!
One side note: my favorite site/store to shop is fred meyer(not just because the hubby works there!). When you sign up for their rewards/points card at fredmeyer.com you can get a lot back. You get 1 point for every dollar you spend and at the end of 13 weeks you get coupons and a nice little gift card in the mail with money on to go toward your next shopping adventure to freddy's! And that's not all folks! Now you can go to their website and download more coupons to your rewards card. I LOVE it! People tend to get around 1500-2000 points every cycle and you usually get around $10 for every 1000 points. And don't forget if you do go to freddy's they have a monthly coupons book you can get in the store that are over by the ad's!
Let me know if there are any questions!

Getting more excited!!
Good morning clippers! I've decided that I will be posting once a week(on monday's) unless I hear of some great deals then of coarse I will let you know! I will probably be posting little bit's of info throughout the week.
My first piece of info is to get a sunday paper earlier in the day(if you don't already) and sit down and go through all the ad's and coupons. I know of some people getting several sunday paper's all at once but I just get one and go through it that day and then if there are any really good coupons I go back and get another paper. On wednesday's several stores have new ad's but very little coupon's.
It did take me a while at first to go through all of the coupons and ad's but don't get discouraged! After you do it a couple of times it get's easier. I will admit that I do have a binder now that I have have recently started to try out. I'm hoping it will make it easier but we'll see.
I hope that helps a little!

What am I doing?!?!
Well here goes...
First off, THANK YOU for reading my blog!! All of this started a couple of weeks ago. My husband was telling me about a story he heard about of a woman getting $600+ worth of groceries for around $50. I thought maybe he heard it wrong or this woman was lying. Luckily a couple day's later a show called "extreme couponing" came on. I was in awe! Not to mention a little weirded out by the extreme's these people took.
One lady spent 70 hours a week looking for, printing out and organizing all her coupons! Another lady bought like 4 sunday newspapers a week and went through her local newspaper recycling dumpsters for coupons! I love saving money but please! I'm not going there!
I must admit I do have a binder to store all my coupons and a list of my coupons loaded to my Fred Meyer rewards card(more on that later). It all may sound a bit much but it is so cool to go through check out and see that after you have used your coupons you have saved $30! I'm not a pro by any means but I thought why not let people know where I have been getting good deal's and see where other people are getting deal's. I save on average $20-$30 a week and I save on items from food to cleaning supplies and beauty supplies. They are almost alway's on brand name item's too.
So to wrap up my rambling my main goal is too spread the good word of getting more for less! I'll post when certain stores are having big sales and when I come across amazing coupons. I would love to get a coupon exchange going too! So I would love to hear your opinions and feel free to let me know what kind of coupons you love to find. If I come across a good coupon a reader likes I will clip it and save it for you or let you know where they can get coupon. Can't wait to hear from you all!
